NYX Round Lipstick Reviews: Chaos, Electra, Eros, Femme, Fig and Frappucino

The last haul of NYX included these 6 lipsticks - I wanted a mix of red (chaos, electra, eros), coral (femme), pink (fig) and nude (frappucino).

Price 
These lipsticks retail for $4 USD on the NYX website, but you can get them cheaper if you hunt around on the web. I get all my NYX cosmetics from Joy's cosmetics on Ebay, she has great prices and has never gotten an order wrong from me. I ordered a lot of 6 NYX Round Lipsticks for under $14 USD which is a total steal!

Secret Kisses Lipstick - Haul, Swatches, Review!

I have been obsessed with searching around for good places to get alternative-coloured lipsticks for an AGE and never made the jump to buy any until a recent purchase from Secret Kisses, which has a dizzying array of colours from all over the rainbow. Want green or yellow lipstick? They have it. I've had my eye on blue and purple for a while.

The Choices

Lime Crime has a fantastic range but there has been drama with the company in terms of repackaging, online harrassment of competitors to name a few of many horrors I've read about them. Also, the lipsticks look like they require frequent reapplication and stain/bleed the lips. 

I wanted a creamy, opaque blue / purple lipstick and narrowed the search down to two: Ka'oir Cosmetics and Secret Kisses. However, I found out that allegedly, Keyshia Dior was a rep for Secret Kisses but then left the company to start her own, virtually identical line using the same manufacturer, and was subsequently being sued by Secret Kisses. So this left me with one choice: Secret Kisses Lipsticks! (Both Lime Crime and Ka'oir lipsticks are more expensive than Secret Kisses too!)

What I bought

Secret Kisses had a christmas sale selling lipsticks for $10.99 USD with free shipping if you bought more than five, so I snapped up a bunch of them (and got two for Suz/Donttheyknowwhoiam as well). I may have gone slightly overboard - blame exam time binge-spending.

Revlon Lip Butters: Cherry Tart and Lollipop lip swatches

There was a 2 for 1 on Revlon products at Priceline last week so I got two lip butters! I have been hearing about these for some time so I finally decided to try them as I do have pretty dry lips (see below) and it's a fun alternative to the clear lip balm I usually use. I got these two Revlon lip butters: 070 Cherry Tart and 075 Lollipop.

In terms of colour, I like them both! The lollipop is a strong, statement pink-purple and the cherry tart is a cute, sheer warm red.

I have been test driving them for almost a week now and I love them. They feel very moisturising on my lips and I like the colours! I am using the Cherry Tart a lot more because it is sheerer and easier to wear during the day :)

Revlon Lip Butter in Lollipop

I have my eye on the Revlon Red Velvet lip butter for a more dramatic look. Perhaps I'll pick it up in the US when I am there in Feb (since makeup is ridiculously priced here in Australia...)

@#$%! yeah, more Sugarpill at my doorstep!

I was pretty excited to get home and find this waiting at the front door, as I'd been waiting 17 days for this to arrive from LA (to Perth, Australia) !!

I nabbed Sugarpill's limited edition red eyeshadow "@#$%!" during their sale shortly after it appeared to go out of stock but then was miraculously restocked. I was questioning the purchase as I already have two other red sugarpill shadows but now I have it, I'm pretty excited. I'll compare the three reds below so keep reading to see that. I've wanted some dark black eyeshadows for some time so I also popped Sugarpill's Bulletproof and Stella into the shopping cart. 

Here are the colours in their packaging as well as a comparison of @#$%! to colours I already owned; Asylum and Love+ (in the Burning Heart palette).

 

@#$%! is more glittery compared with Love+ and more pink compared to both Asylum and Love+.

Can't wait to try Sugarpill's Stella, Bulletproof and @#$%! on my face! Sugarpill never fails to deliver amazingness. I love how smooth and strongly pigmented Sugarpill shadows always are. For those of you who wonder how I get my eyebrows to look so strongly coloured when I wear coloured wigs - it's this amazing stuff.
